On October 16, the AICS Jerusalem office convened a vital Gender Technical Working Group meeting in preparation for the upcoming 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign (November 25 – December 10). This meeting brought together international donors from Europe, Canada, and Latin America, alongside local NGOs from the West Bank and Gaza, highlighting the collaborative effort necessary to effectively address gender-based violence.
The importance of these Gender Technical Working Group meetings cannot be overstated. They foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders, enabling the sharing of resources, ideas, and strategies to enhance the impact of initiatives aimed at combating gender-based violence.
AICS Jerusalem and UN Women will play significant roles in this year’s campaign, with AICS serving as the lead donor for gender initiatives. Given the challenging year marked by tensions in the region and violations of human rights, AICS recognizes the critical importance of this campaign, to which we are committed, particularly for women in Palestine. As part of this year’s campaign, AICS plans to produce five impactful videos that will further highlight gender issues.
