Guglielmo Giordano is the Head of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation Office in Palestine.
Before this assignment and for the past 6 years, he was the “Head of AICS” in Somalia.
Previously, he served as Senior Programme Officer for the monitoring unit (Analysis, evaluation and management) in the Rural and Private Development sector in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Syria, Pakistan and Nepal.
He also worked for nearly 15 years at the Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as Regional Desk Officer with the North Africa and Middle East Division, coordinating the bilateral and multilateral Italian cooperation activities in Jordan, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen. He also served for almost 10 years at the UN (FAO) in Haiti and Rome HQ and, previously, as volunteer with several CSOs in Latin America.
