With AICS Jerusalem’s support, a Palestinian delegation from Jericho participated in Macfrut 2024 in Rimini, Italy. This significant event provided a platform for showcasing Palestine’s date sector, particularly through ‘Jericho Vale!’ project. The palestinian delegation, engaged with global buyers, notably European chains, expressing interest in sourcing Palestinian dates. They also explored technological solutions for agriculture and innovative packaging, generating import interest. Additionally, a side event highlighted the crucial role of agriculture in Palestine’s economy, discussing ongoing challenges and support initiatives. The Palestinian delegation were grateful for this opportunity, as MacFrut enabled us to spotlight Palestinian produce, raise awareness, foster connections, and discuss future agricultural strategies.
