On 19 October 2026, the Arab American University (AAUP) in Jenin hosted the Internship Networking Day of the Media Pathways project, implemented by CYEE – Charity for Youth Economic Empowerment in partnership with Raya Media Network. The initiative is part of the action “Promoting Gender-Responsive Actions in Palestine to Integrate Women in the Culture and Creativity Industry” AID 13282, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
From Media Training to Internship Opportunities
The event marked an important transition from specialized training and field learning to the internship placement phase. It brought together project beneficiaries and potential host organizations, including media companies, media institutions, and organizations with communication and media departments. Through direct networking and matchmaking sessions, participants explored professional interests, skills, organizational needs, and internship opportunities.
Strengthening Connections between Universities and the Labour Market
Media Pathways project seeks to strengthen connections between universities and the labor market, helping bridge the gap between education and employment in Palestine’s media sector. The project equips young graduates with advanced digital communication and media skills while promoting greater economic inclusion of young women.
By combining training, internships, and collaboration with private-sector actors, the initiative aims to create meaningful career opportunities for Palestinian youth and contribute to a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable media ecosystem.
