AICS’s humanitarian aid programs in the Palestinian Territories focus on protecting the most vulnerable Palestinian population—those who are displaced or at risk of forced transfer, living in Area C of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, the H2 area of Hebron, the Gaza Strip, and other high-risk areas of the West Bank. These interventions are carried out through collaboration with International Organizations, UN Agencies, and Civil Society Organizations operating in the area.
The LRRD program “POP – Post-Emergency Palestine” is an initiative aimed at strengthening essential services for the most vulnerable population and enhancing the capacity to address the structural causes of unmet human rights. Through three projects implemented by the CSOs We World, ACS, and Terre des Hommes, the initiative seeks to guarantee the protection of fundamental rights—land, water, education, and health, while reinforcing the network of essential services for the Palestinian population in Area C, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.
In the emergency sector, the initiative Food for Gaza is also noteworthy. Launched in March 2024 by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), it aims to provide food assistance and humanitarian aid to the population of the Gaza Strip, severely affected by the conflict. The initiative involves multiple actors from the Italian System and international organizations such as WFO, FAO, and FICROSS.
