The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation is pleased to announce the launch of a series of essential training courses as part of the SANET project. The project is funded by the Italian Cooperation and implemented by CIHEAM Bari in collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).

This initiative reflects AICS ongoing commitment to supporting sustainable agricultural development, enhancing food security, and strengthening value chains within the agricultural sector in Palestine.

To support these objectives, ten targeted training courses have been organized to provide farmers and producers with practical skills and knowledge tailored to their specific needs.

The first training course focuses on Good Agricultural Practices for the Plum Value Chain. It is being conducted over three days in North Hebron (Hebron) and Jenin (Kabatya), and addresses key topics such as cultivation techniques, crop management, and postharvest practices related to plum production.

The second course, dedicated to Good Agricultural Practices for Fodder and Feed for Livestock, is also a three-day program taking place in Jericho, Tubas, and Dora. This course covers fodder production, management strategies, and feeding practices that support animal health and productivity.

In addition, a series of training sessions on Postharvest Handling and Storage Practices will be held in North Hebron, Jenin, Jericho, Tubas, and Dora. These three-day sessions focus on postharvest loss prevention, effective storage methods, and quality control for both stone fruits and fodder crops.

Each course combines theoretical instruction with practical application, including field visits and hands-on activities, to ensure participants gain valuable, applicable experience.

The training programs are aimed at farmers, producers, cooperatives, NGOs, young researchers, and graduate students who wish to enhance their expertise in agriculture and postharvest management.

Through these initiatives, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation reaffirms its dedication to advancing the sustainability and productivity of the agricultural sector in Palestine.
