A second phase of the project implemented in partnership with UNFPA Palestine has been launched this morning by the Steering Committee for an amount of 500,000 euro (like the first one).
The aim of this second phase is to make sustainable the #YouthFriendlyHealthCenters established during Phase I at Al-Quds University جامعة القدس in Abu Dis and at Al-Azhar University – Gaza, managed by medical staff and students of the last years, and to extend information and health services to the Hebron University جامعة الخليل as well.
Phase I allowed young Palestinians (not married) to talk about important and sensitive issues such as fertility, early marriage, new-born maternal care, contraception methods and psychological assistance. Thanks to the strong partnerships with the Universities, a relevant youth participation to awareness activities has been achieved and a large number of students used services provided by the Centers (800 students at Al-Quds University and 5,200 at Al-Azhar in Gaza).
