Ramallah, September 10th 2019 – AICS Jerusalem, for the first time as co-chair, officiated the #LACS Health Sector Working Group, along with the Minister of Health Dr. Mai AlKaila and the World Health Organization (WHO) as technical advisor, in order to coordinate the international community effort in favour of the Palestinian health system.
The working group gathered for the first time in the last three years and aims to relaunch the prioritization work at the Ministry of Health وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية and its sector strategy. After AICS and WHO remarks, a fruitful presentation of special recommendations has been delivered by representatives of the 4 National Committees established at the Ministry of Health and related to 4 strategic pillars to be taken into account by the international partners: #UniversalHealthCoverage, referrals and services nationalization, quality of services and vocational training of skilled personnel, Emergency services and first AID.
