In 2024, AICS Jerusalem continued its commitment to infrastructure and cultural heritage protection in Palestine.
In a context marked by political and humanitarian challenges, the Agency strengthened its support for the Palestinian population through post-conflict reconstruction projects, improvements to water and sanitation infrastructure, and the enhancement of historical and artistic heritage, key elements for the well-being of communities and social cohesion.
The main interventions included: the conservation of the Church of the Nativity and the Holy Sepulchre, the promotion of sustainable tourism in the Battir area, the enhancement of the archaeological site of Tell El Sultan, ancient Jericho, and the
reconstruction plan for Gaza.
In 2024, the total value of active projects in the sector amounted to €20,540,000, demonstrating the strategic importance and commitment of AICS in this area.
