Ramallah, May 9th 2018 – With development initiatives currently on-going, on bilateral and multilateral channels, for a total amount of more than 34 millions of EURO, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation in Palestine supports the Palestinian health care system in the struggle against non-communicable diseases, in the enhancement of the hospitals network, in the obtaining of the universal health coverage.
Organized by the Ministry of Health, a conference on cancer prevention has been a good occasion to renew the Italian-Palestinian partnership for support and exchange, at the presence of the Ministry of Health Dr. Jawad Awwad, the General Consul of Italy to Jerusalem Fabio Sokolowicz and the Head of the Italian Agency in Jerusalem Cristina Natoli. Representatives of UN Agencies committed for the Palestinian Health Sector such as WHO, UNFPA and UNRWA also attended the conference.
