Women’s empowerment in Palestine (reportage by Marco Giallonardi and Clara Ballari)
Economic empowerment for Palestinian women is a priority at the Italian development cooperation in Palestine. In the last ten years, several initiatives encouraged and supported small and micro female enterprises, becoming a pillar of the Italian programme for women equality, at the same time with the protection of women victim of gender-based violence.
This journey through olive trees and military outposts, ministerial offices and a large network of local associations, crowdy cities, Skype conversations and stories made of personal redemption, aims to offer an overview of the Italian commitment for Palestinian women and the achieved results by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and its partners.
